Help Customers Identify Ultrabook Devices

We're excited to tell you of a new development you can see in your stores right now. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Toshiba, ASUS, HP, and others will be required to place a sticker on machines that identify them as Ultrabook devices.

Although you may have no problem picking out an Ultrabook device from a line of other traditional laptops, the same may not be true of your customers. Especially as laptops get thinner and more lightweight.

However, you've learned that to be called an "Ultrabook device," these laptop PCs have to meet a certain set of requirements.

For example, all Ultrabook devices:

Include a 2nd generation Intel Core processor (and soon, 3rd generation Intel Core processors)

Should be less than 25mm or 1-inch thick

Are ultra responsive thanks to innovative technologies such as Intel Rapid Start Technology and Intel Smart Connect Technology
