Different kinds and physical appearance- Ultrabook computer evolution

Last December of 2012, original equipment manufacturers  (OEMs) started shipping a new kind of device called Ultrabook.  Inspired by Intel, revolutionized mobility with a set of requirements around thinness, responsiveness, and battery life and the inclusion of an Intel Core processor.

This 2013, the evolution of Ultrabook continues with the addition of touch and convertible designs. With sleek and ultra-portable design, long battery life, and responsiveness, Ultrabook devices already offer to us. However, the evolution doesn’t settle yet, this 2013 we will experience a benefits of a tablet, combined with the performance of a PC workstations.

Let's take a look at the experiences we expect this 2013.

Different Kind of Ultrabook

Flip, Swivel, or Slide ultrabook

Ultrabook   convertibles offer a no-compromise solution for the pickiest digital appetite: dual screen, folding, swivel, detachable, multi-touch, or even stylus-enabled, depending on the system. Here are some of the ways customers will be able to transition from tablet to laptop and back again.

Flip - The screen flips over 180 degrees to lie flat, or 360 degrees to create a compact tablet. One flip-style Ultrabook coming out this 2013, the Lenovo Yoga, allows customers to lay the keyboard face down and flip the screen up in an easel (or “stand”) position, for an experience similar to using a tablet in a stand.

Dual screen- These devices, such as the ASUS TAICHI series, include a second touch-enabled HD screen on the lid, allowing customers to use the laptop as a tablet with the lid closed.

Slider - The screen slides up and down from tablet position to open-laptop position. Check out the Toshiba U920t series for an example of this functionality!

Swivel - The screen on the Dell XPS Duo 12 series swivels inside its frame, so we expect it as outward for a tablet experience or inward for a traditional laptop experience.

Detachable - These devices feature a keyboard and screen that can be easily separated (or connected), depending how you want to use them. An Ultrabook   featuring this functionality will be on the market soon.

A Premium Windows 8 Experience

No matter which Ultrabook  form factor customers are interested in, they will be happy to know that Intel processor-based devices offer the best Windows 8 experience, including:

A great experience using both the new Windows UI and the traditional Desktop UI

Seamless compatibility with existing applications and software

Access to new apps through the Windows Store

The ability to connect all their existing peripherals (cameras, printers, etc.) with their new Intel processor-based device

Touch Isn't Just for Convertibles

This 2013, some  Ultrabook devices will be more touchable. Touch screen computing machines will take advantage of the new Windows 8 Windows User Interface to put a full range of new amazing experiences with apps and files at customers' fingertips. The incorporation of touch makes these devices more intuitive and ergonomic to use. In fact, an Intel User Experience Group study revealed that the ability to touch a screen removes some of the caution, even fear, associated with technology, and can even stimulate creativity.

Ultra responsive. Ultra sleek. Ultrabook.

Whether convertible, touch PC, or traditional PC, all Ultrabook devices on the market this 2013 will offer the combination of performance and style that user and shoppers have come to expect from these devices.
