Did godaddy.com scam or just being biased and reason not to open an account with godaddy.com

I read this horrific article across the internet saying godaddy aint good, from this forum site, http://www.dnforum.com/f26/godaddy-bans-access-philippines-thread-31551.html

"I got a report by e-mail that GoDaddy is blocking all access to their site from any location in the Philippines (and maybe other countries as well?). This report was from a U.S. citizen living in the Philippines who has domain registrations with GoDaddy, who finds that he is unable to access or update his account. GoDaddy support was un-helpful, first lying to him about the blockage, and then when it was proven, saying he's just out of luck.

If I were him, I'd want to sue GoDaddy (maybe for punitive damages of $1000 per day of blockage), but I see their registration agreement is full of evil clauses, saying they have no liability beyond registration fees, and that they reserve the right to cancel all domain registrations if they decide they're being used for immoral purposes. So I guess they could declare the whole country of the Philippines to be immoral, and revoke all registrations from there?

If any members of this forum are in the Philippines, perhaps you can verify whether the GoDaddy site is blocked from there. And can the lawyers here comment on whether it's legal for a registrar to deny services to registrants based on what country they're located, and whether the courts would uphold the no-liability clause if they got sued for it?"

This is really disappointing article with godaddy.com, I am ready to open an account with them but now I must seek for another domain registrar and hosting.
