How to Handle Panel (Group) Interview


It's daunting to have two, three, or four interviews come at you from all sides. Since the questions asked in a group interview are the same as those asked by a single interviewer, the way you handle the group is just as important as what you say.

The mistake almost every untutored job seeker makes is not to grab control at the start. Think of yourself as the instructor and the interviewers as your class. Because the only thing they want from you is an information they want to have. No disagreement there. But they can't shout, interrupt, or talk at once.

Anticipated that you will be interrupted, and have your response ready for them. Act rather than react, for instance; “I'm glad that question is being brought up, and I'll answer it just as soon as I answer the present one. ”Ask the question of your own to slow down the pace and again thinking time.”

Here are some other suggestions that will give you time to pause and reflect.

1.  Don't worry about seeming nervous
2.  Don't direct your answers to one person
3.  Don't try to figure out who the decision
